Bra straps🤞💫

Ssshhh! listen! Come closer , i need to whisper about something in your ear

"Your bra strap is visible babe, just cover it"

A line that most of the girls have heard atleast once. A thought that still circles in our mind and a thing we need to keep a check upon.

"YOUR BRA STRAP IS VISIBLE"

A small phrase, but looks more like a warning to me. It's viability is considered as a sin and a reason sometimes to attract the opposite gender , maybe sometimes a signal too- asking them to harass and rape. But is it like that only?

Is this really a sign? or just a common thing that everyone should ignore?

To begin with, Lets see what a bra is meant for?

The question of bras, or bralessness, is also a question of nipples. Besides hoicking up and holding one's boobs in place, and generally shaping the silhouette, a bra also tends to hide one's nipples (unless it is made from a very flimsy or thin fabric). To go without is to accept that one’s areolae may be partially or wholly visible. That shouldn’t really be a big deal, but sometimes, rather many a times its a reason for the society to hide from.

Take a pause, we have also seen boys flashing their underwear tags out of their jeans. But have you ever heard them being titled as "shameless" . People staring at that tag, or his friends asking him to adjust his pair of jeans?

I think never! If i recall, then many a times girls have been titled as "besharam" or being called as "besharmi to dekho iski" as their bra straps werre visible by mistake or because they chose to be on a bra free day.

Body parts varies from gender to gender, having boobs or a dick is a natural phenomena, covering them is a necessity but how to cover and how much is a personal choice. This is nothing to be ashamed of. Sizes may be different but every gender has the same thing, so ther is nothing new that one should be ashamed of or one should be fond of.

In addition to this, Eight years after Lina Esco spearheaded the Free the Nipple movement, a woman’s bare breast is still censored on Instagram – an obvious double standard that only highlights the platform's binary and outdated approach to gender.

Its the 21st century, people are growing , nations are developing and we are still stuck at the 80's thoughts where we distinguish between genders, consider women's rights as secondary and treating them as a showpiece.
